2014: Played for the Bemidji Axemen where he played in nine games last season, finishing first in the league in point-after kicking percentage (93.8 percent) and fourth in the league in field goal percentage (40 percent).

2013 (Sr): Entering senior season, Pulkinen is sixth at BSU in PATs made (59), tied for sixth in field goals made (11) and seventh in points scored kicking (92).

2012 (Jr): Pulkinen assumed all the kicking and punting duties in 2012… Named NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week Oct. 15 after his performance against Northern State Oct. 13, in which he was good on all three extra point attempts, pinned the Wolves inside the 20 on all three of his punts that totaled 131 yards (43.7 yards per punt) – including a 55 yard punt that tied a career-high – and posted 246 yards on four kickoffs to average 61.5 yards per kick.  On BSU’s single season charts he ranks tied for 10th in point after attempts made (30), tied for 11th in field goals made (5) and 12th in kicking scoring (45 points).

2011 (So): Assumed field goal and extra point kicking duties, while continuing kickoff responsibilities in 10 games played… Totaled 3,476 yards in 54 kickoffs to average 64.4 yards per kick and posted 12 touchbacks with zero kicks out of bounds (all career-highs)… Was 6-for-11 in field goal attempts for a 54.5 percentage with a long of 38 yards… In extra point attempts, Pulkinen went 33-for-36 (91.7%) to rank ninth in the NSIC… Recorded 51 points (4.6 points per game) to rank third on the team…. Ranked fourth on the team in special teams tackles with six.

2010 (Fr): Played in all 11 games as the primary place-kicker… Totaled 53 kickoffs for 3,196 yards, averaging 60.3 yards per kickoff… Finished with four touchbacks and kicked the ball out of bounds three times… Opponents averaged 38.6 return yards and on average started on its 31-yard line… Punted twice for 64 yards.

Prior to BSU: Competed on the men’s soccer team at College of Idaho in 2009, playing in eight games and starting six… Played soccer and football at Minot High School… Earned all-state honors on the soccer team his senior season and all-conference laurels junior year… Was an all-conference football player.
