Bemidji, MN – The Bemidji Axemen are proud to announce the creation of the Axemen Media Network, a collaboration between the Axemen, local television network Upstream TV (UTV), and local radio group KK Radio Network.

“We are very excited to partner with both UpstreamTV and KK Radio,” Axemen president Ross Ladehoff said.  “Both of these organizations are a big part of the community and we look forward to working with them.”

In their partnership with UTV, tape-delayed game broadcasts will air the night following every Axemen home game and a 10-episode television series titled ‘Axemen Nation’ will air beginning in Spring 2015.  UTV is available on Channel 18 to subscribers of Paul Bunyan Communications and Midcontinent Communications in northern Minnesota and online at  Both game broadcasts and ‘Axemen Nation’ will be available on AxemenTV, the official online video platform of the Bemidji Axemen, immediately after airing on UTV.

“UpstreamTV is proud to be partnering with the Bemidji Axemen, an organization that is bringing our community closer together,” UTV Executive Director Mike Bredon stated.  “As we follow and interview the players, as well as those who are behind the scenes, we will undoubtedly be learning more of who they are, and furthering the alliance with the Axemen and the city of Bemidji.  We are thankful to be invited to the huddle.”

In their partnership with KK Radio Network, the Axemen have extended their radio contract through the 2016 season.  In addition to being broadcast on WBKK (AM 820/103.1 FM, Bemidji) and KPRM (AM 870, Park Rapids), every home and away game will also air on KAKK (AM 1570 in Walker).  For those outside of the Northland, Axemen broadcasts will be available online through KK Radio Network website ( and on your iOS or Android-based smartphone via the TuneIn Radio app available free of charge in the App Store (iOS/Apple) and on Google Play (Android).  The Voice of the Axemen, Jamison St. Germain, will be back to serve as the play-by-play commentator for all radio broadcasts.
