Bemidji, MN – The Bemidji Axemen have bolstered their offensive and defensive lines with the signings of two offensive lineman, Tino Tuilata (6’5, 320) and Sini Tauauve’a (6’2, 310), and defensive lineman Braxton Magalogo.

“Signing Tino, Sini, and Braxton is a big thing for this organization,” Axemen head coach Dixie Wooten stated.  “We’re focusing on bringing in guys that believe in hard work, dedication, and family while being great football players at the same time.”

Tuilata played in the Indoor Football League last season as a member of the Cedar Rapids Titans.  Prior to the IFL, Tuilata spent time in a rookie mini-camp for the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens.  Collegiately, Tuilata played at Midwestern State University.  As a junior, he started all 11 games for the Mustangs, earning a 2 nd Team All-Lone Star Conference selection.  Known as a leader on the field, Tuilata anchored the offensive line that forged the way for Midwestern State to lead the Lone Star Conference in rushing offense, averaging 322.9 yards per game.  Before transferring the Midwestern State, Tuilata played at Mt. San Antonio College, where has was a unanimous All-Southern California Football Association choice.

Tauauve’a (pronounced See-knee Tao-ow-veh-ah) last played for Utah State University.  As a senior, Tauauve’a played in 13 games, notching 43 knockdowns including a season-high seven against Colorado State University.  Prior to playing for the Aggies, Tauauve’a played for Snow College where he earned Honorable Mention All-League honors as a sophomore.

“We know to win in this league, we need a strong offensive line,” reflected Wooten.  “Tino and Sini bring that toughness we need to let us control the line of scrimmage.”

On the defensive side of the ball, Magalogo (6’3, 225)  last played for Mesa Community College, where he earned Second Team All-ACCAC honors as a freshman.  Most recently, Magalogo has served in the United States Army and is ready for this new challenge.
